Koi Sushi in Baton Rouge

Best fried rice/noodles in BR

It's a great place for cheap, yet good Asian cuisine. Their LSU roll is delicious! Parking can be a little tricky because their lot is very small, but you can use the one next to it too.

I visited Koi for the first time last night and am planning to become a regular at this establishment. My table service was great, sushi rolls were delicious and menu items are reasonably priced.UPDATE: I visited Koi again and still recommend this restaurant, however, with 4 stars instead of 5, due to a minor error in my order & extended wait time. I was the first customer in the building during lunch hours and waited nearly 15 minutes between recieving my water cup and being asked for my order. I selected the sushi lunch special for $8.49 which comes with 4 pieces each of 4 rolls (california, crunchy, snow crab & salmon). I asked for california & crunchy roll sushi pieces only, was informed it would be an additional $1 for the substitution and received snow crab and crunchy roll sushi pieces. I asked my waitress if she could confirm that the california roll was a california roll and she replied "I think it is" and walked away, providing no follow up.

I was looking for a sushi restaurant that delivered and stumbled upon Kio Sushi. So far I've tried the Amanda specialty roll and the Stephanie specialty roll. Both were very delicious and filling. Although the Stephanie roll was a little spicy. The only downside so far is that their vegetable tempura was a bland, and they open at 11:30 A.M. Sadly my lunch is at 11, so I have yet to experience their lunch special bento boxes.

My absolute favorite spot. I think I went here everyday for 4 years straight when attending LSU.

When I got my chicken teriyaki, I expect it to be juicy and with good amount of sauce. Instead I got dry chicken with barely any sauce on it. The miso soup and salad dressing is good tho but the food quality needs improvement.

I spent 4 years in Japan eating authentic sushi. Koi keeps to traditional quality standards and applies them to their special rolls as well. Excellent sushi!
